Fight Life brings fans into fighters' world

Have you ever caught yourself watching a mixed martial arts fight on television, whether it was on free TV or pay-per-view, and thought to yourself…”those guys must make a lot of money for getting beat up?”.

If you have, do not worry. You are not alone, but the truth is many of these fighters make far less than you or I would in any given year. The documentary Fight Life is a sorrowing look into the business side of MMA. James Z. Feng, who directed, wrote and was one of the producers of the film, has put together a film that goes deep into the MMA community and follows several fighters at different stages of their career.

There are fighters that are well known, by mainstream audiences, and fighters who are still looking for their big break. Feng and crew bring you intimate moments with MMA mainstays like Jake Shields, Nick Diaz and Gilbert Melendez as well as rising stars like Lyle Beerbohm and Ryan Schultz.

Fight Life proves that the bright lights of the UFC and Strikeforce don’t shine all that bright on every fighter. Many fighters seen in the film are struggling to get by and show that the passion and love these fighters have for their sport is unseen and unmatched by many others.

For die-hard fight fans, those just getting into the sport and even those oblivious to the basics of MMA, Fight Life is the documentary that will show you how these men and women live through the sport. The agony, pain and sometimes triumph is all worth it for these warriors.
